I’m not usually a big Political Red Meat guy. Honestly, most of the time I can’t take it seriously. There’s a lot of theater in politics (hence the turn-of-phrase “show business for ugly people”) and beside being a cynic I don’t enjoy math.
But KMJ Program Director Blake Taylor knew throwing Ray Appleton into the mix would get my attention (and yours…he is the adult in the room). Ray invited Rep. Nunes, and all of a sudden I was participating in a proper political conversation.
I leave it to you to decide if I belonged there.
I’m linking the White House fact sheet so you can read along as POTUS speaks, but I’m still left to wonder: If House Dems won’t come to the table for THIS, what will they consider? There’s too many people encouraging Trump to continue the shutdown, and I’m not sure he REALLY understands how combustible the situation is. Pelosi & Schumer aren’t going to take the high road and Trump doesn’t believe Americans want him to deviate course.
